In Loving Memory Of Willie Melvin Bryant, Jr.
Jan. 1, 1955 ~ Oct. 3, 2022
Willie Melvin Bryant, Jr. passed away on Monday, October 3, 2022. He was born January 1, 1955, in Camden, Arkansas to Willie Melvin Bryant, Sr. and Mary Lydia (Hodges) Bryant.
Willie proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army. Willie married Charlotte Pelfrey on November 26, 1975, in Littlefield, Texas and has called Littlefield home since that time.
A true Renaissance man, Willie was an accomplished mechanic, fabricator, programmer, shot, and cook. He could both own and operate Bryant Custom Machine and make time to prepare Mickey Mouse pancakes for his grandchildren. He loved baseball (served as Little League President for a time) and Nascar (#1 Jimmie Johnson fan). He was an avid gun collector and a proud conservative patriot. There was nothing he could not do.
Most of all, he loved his family. He loved being a 'Papa' to his eight grandchildren that he adored. He enjoyed hosting family and preparing holiday meals for all to enjoy.
Willie is survived by his wife Charlotte Bryant of Littlefield; two sons, Tanner Bryant and wife, Leah of San Angelo, TX and Chase Bryant and wife, Ariel of Littlefield; a daughter, Kelsey Yarbrough and husband, Alex of Bushland, TX; eight grandchildren, Payton Yarbrough, Carson Bryant, Zane Yarbrough, Ellie Bryant, Brittlyn Bryant, Laikyn Bryant, Averie Bryant, and Gage Bryant; his inlaws that he loved like his own siblings, Kathy and Mike Roberts of Levelland, Beth and Harrison Batman of Oklahoma City, Stacy and Randy Rogers of Lubbock, Joy Dawn and Travis McInroe of Mt. Pleasant, Randy Pelfrey of Sherman, and Sandy Callahan of Cleburn, TX; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, JD Bryant; a sister, Susan Bryant; and a brother-in-law, Neal Pelfrey.
Memorial services were held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, October 7, 2022, at the First United Methodist Church in Littlefield, Texas. Arrangements were under the person care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
