Walter Eddlemon

In Loving Memory Of 

August, 1942 ~ March, 2025

Walter Eddlemon, was born in Hot Springs, AK to Carrie Carter and William Eddlemon in 1942.

Through tragedy he grew up in orphanages and foster care, separated from his siblings. One memorable foster family was Preston Morrison who changed his life, and meant so much to Walt. Walt and his brothers, Charlie and Larry (adopted as Glenn James), sisters, Betty Zuardo (Russ) and Barbara Spoon (Joe) were separated and grew up in different orphanages and with different family members, butlLater connected.

Survivors are his wife of 29 years, Christie; sons, Wes and Michael; step daughters, Shari Van Houten, Tracy Humphrey and Cindy Beene.

Walt was a visionary, forward thinking man self taught through his reading. He organized the union at Chamberdoor before he moved into management working for 40 years. Walt researched and opened Walt's Liquor Store. Walt's days started at 4 a.m. and ended at10 p.m. He also cut firewood and. Later Walt started a local truck hauling business.

Walt's beautiful, talented hands build and created and fixed so many things. Walt loved learning and doing; he was one of the first to get solar panels. Walt enjoyed dancing, hunting, fishing, watching sports with Mama Jean Adams. In honor of Walt, please donate to orphanages and foster care. Walt requested that he be cremated so he ashes could remain close to people and places he loved. A memorial service will be announced.
