Vanessa Yvonne Munoz, 43, of Springlake and formerly of Muleshoe, died Sunday, Oct. 24, 2021, in Lubbock, TX. Funeral services were held Friday morning, Oct. 29, 2021, at American Boulevard Church of Christ in Muleshoe with Mr. Mike McDonald officiating. Interment followed at Muleshoe Memorial Park Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Vanessa was born Aug. 22, 1978, in Alamogordo, NM, to Juan and Onieda (Lopez) DeLeon. She married Roel “Roy” Munoz, in 2002, in Edinburg. A teacher for five years with the migrant school in Muleshoe, Vanessa also worked as a dietician for WIC in Muleshoe. Vanessa enjoyed photography and taking pictures. She was a photographer for many senior pictures, weddings, and get togethers. She was the former youth director for Iglesia Apostolica de la Fe in Cristo Church in Earth.
