Thomas Lendonburgh Cheshier, 91, of Littlefield, TX, passed away on Thursday, March 5, 2026, in Littlefield. He was born on April 16, 1934, in Yuba, OK to Bill Cheshier and Pearl Swindle.
Thomas enlisted in the military and served in the U.S. Army in Korea from Dec. 5, 1956, to Dec. 3, 1958. He was also a member of the VFW. Thomas married Jean Knight on May 1, 1964. He worked for the Ford Plant in San Jose, CA and SPS on the systems crew. He and his family later moved to Littlefield in 1964 where he took employment as a Loom Tech at the American Cotton Growers plant. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Littlefield.
Thomas liked fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles. Music was close to his heart. He enjoyed whistling tunes and was a talented guitar player. He was known as a handyman who could fix just about anything.
Those left to cherish his memory are his two sons and spouses; three daughters and spouses; thirteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and two siblings.
Thomas was preceded in death by his wife; his parents; his two sons; six brothers; one sister; and two grandsons.
Funeral services for Thomas Lendonburgh Cheshier were held Tuesday morning, March 10, 2026, at Grace Chapel in Littlefield, Texas with Pastor Terry Sanders officiating. Interment was in Littlefield Cemetery.
