Mary Myers, 97, of Olton, died Saturday, Dec. 20, 2025, in Amarillo. Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon, Dec. 23, 2025, at the First Baptist Church in Olton, with Michael Smith and Brother Kyle Streun officiating. Arrangements were under the personal care of Ramage Funeral Directors.
Mary was born Feb.12, 1928, in Charlie, TX, to Lacy and Lela (Blaylock) Caswell. She graduated from Olton High School in 1945 and later completed LVN school in 1977. On July 9, 1946, she married Parley Myers in Olton.
A lifetime Olton resident and member of the First Baptist Church, Mary loved being a nurse. She worked for Dr. Johns in Olton, at Central Plains Hospital in Plainview, and for Dr. Busby in Plainview. She enjoyed sewing, baking, hosting Thanksgiving for relatives for more than 50 years, playing Bunko, and listening to gospel music. She was an avid supporter of Olton athletics and enjoyed Texas Tech women’s basketball and the Dallas Cowboys.
She was preceded in death by her husband; two sisters; two nieces; and one nephew.
Survivors include her two daughters and spouses; a brother; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
The family suggests memorials be made to the Cindy Caswell Blessen Scholarship Fund, in care of South Plains College, Levelland, TX
