Maria Inez Rodriquez, 82, of Littlefield, Texas, passed away on Saturday, July 12, 2025, in Littlefield, Texas. She was born on April 20, 1943, in Crystal City, Texas to Masedonio and Elodia Briones. She married Pedro Rodriquez on August 19, 1962.

Maria was a homemaker. She loved to garden, she enjoyed having beautiful flowers in her yard and harvesting vegetables from her garden to make and can delicious salsa. She also harvested and canned peaches and apricots from their trees. She enjoyed shopping. She was a wonderful cook, known for her "famous potato salad", Sopa, mole, menudo, tamales and stuffing. She knew the importance of hard work and being a good person and she was an amazing example of that for her children and grandchildren. She was an active member of the Jehovah Witness Kingdom Hall in Littlefield, and she was bold in her faith, always witnessing to those around her. It was important to her that people knew where she stood and heard what she had to say. She was direct but loving. She loved her family, and she loved being "Grandma Inez". Her grandchildren were special to her, and she raised four of them as her own.

Those left behind to cherish her memory are two sons, Pedro Jr. Rodriquez and wife, Debbie of Spring, Texas, Jamie Rodriquez and wife, Alma of El Paso, Texas; five daughters, Rosa Thompson and husband, Pete Jr. of Littlefield, Texas, Aracelia Rodriquez of Littlefield, Texas, Esmerelda Ramos and husband, Fabian of San Antonio, Texas, Angelica Zamora and husband, Steven of Littlefield, Texas and Damaris R. Gonzales of Longview, Texas; one brother, Lupe Briones of Flint, Michigan; six sisters, Alicia Villanueva of Littlefield, Texas, Trinity Campos of Crystal City, Texas, Margarita Posada of Crystal City, Texas, Victoria Trevino of Littlefield, Texas, Josie Sanchez of Flint, Michigan, and Rosa Aguirre of Cleburne, Texas; twenty six grandchildren, and thirty one great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Pedro Rodriquez; her parents, Masedonio and Elodia Briones; a son, Joel Rodriquez; a granddaughter, Marisela Rodriquez; two brothers, Gregorie and Presley Briones; and a sister, Maria Magdalena Trevino.

Memorial services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday July 19, 2025, at the Kingdom Hall in Littlefield, Texas with Mark Songer officiating.
