Sandra J. “Granny” Richards, 83, of Buchanan Dam went to celebrate in Heaven, May 25, 2021. She was born at home in Fieldton, TX, Dec. 4, 1937, to J.K. and Viola (Cowan) Elliott.
In 1955, Sandra married the love of her life, Robert Richards in Clovis, New Mexico. Together they operated Robert Richards Real Estate for many years in Littlefield. She was a member of Crescent Park Church of Christ during their years in Littlefield.
Her greatest joy was having family and friends visit at Buchanan Dam where she has lived since 2000. Sandra was a loyal friend to everyone lucky enough to have met her. She was especially known for her devoted love of family and spoiling her six grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Sandra is survived by her devoted husband of 65 years, Robert Richards of Buchanan; three children, Rick Richards (Jan) of McKinney, Darren Richards (Debra) of Buchanan Dam and Sandy Wallace (Kevin) of Littlefield. Also surviving are her six grandchildren, Nick Richards, Joe Richards (Jess), Kaleigh Gibbons (Brandon) and Shelby, Cody, and Maggie Wallace and one great grandchild Hank Richards. She also leaves behind special family friend, Ken Stokes, as well as numerous nieces and nephews who will miss her dearly.
Son-in-law Kevin Wallace led a celebration of Sandra’s life with family and friends at a graveside service that was held at beautiful Lakeland Hills Memorial Park near Burnet at 2 p.m. Friday, May 28, 2021. Those serving as pallbearers were Nick Richards, Joe Richards, Cody Wallace, Jake Akers, Ken Stokes, and John Coker. Arrangements entrusted to Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home Burnet, Texas
