Janette Albus Whitford, 91, of Graham, Texas and formerly of Lubbock, Texas passed away April 16, 2022.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at Pep Cemetery in Pep.

Janette was born in Munday, Texas on Labor Day Monday, September 1, 1930, to C.A. and Helen (Bruggeman) Kuehler. She graduated from Pep High School in May of 1947. She married Paul Albus, April 6, 1948 at Pep, Texas. They had three sons and two daughters. They farmed and lived at Pep their entire married life. Janette sold Avon for over 40 Years. She lost the love of her life April 16, 1985. She married Bobby J. Whitford January 18, 2001.

She was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She treasured her children and embraced every moment with them. She especially loved her role as a Grandma. She had a vivacious personality and loved to dance. She made friends everywhere she went and her Avon customers loved her dearly. Janette was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Paul Albus; three sisters, Evelyn Bishop, Marilyn Hill and Glenda Ellis; and great grandsons, Logan Albus, Stratton Albus and Rhys Cline.

She is survived by her children, Darwin Albus of Anton, Texas, Betty (David) Merrick of Lamesa, Texas, Curtis (Landra) Albus of Morton, Texas, Beverly (Craig) Vinson of Possum Kingdom, Texas, Mark (Lisa) Albus of Schertz, Texas; grandchildren, Bryan (Marti) Albus, Melissa (David) Garcia, Heather (Grady) Cline, Ashley (Braun) Cartwright, Nick (Lindsay) Vinson, Sarah (Aaron) Self, Ty (Minok) Merrick, Shonnie (Russ) Stanley, Dusty Vinson, Tiffany Albus, Cody (Whitney) Albus; sisters; Gwen (Clancy) Martin, Connie Elliston, and Sheri Curry; 31 great grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter.

The family wants to extend a big thank you to Brookdale Shadow Hills Assisted Living in Lubbock, Garden Terrace Healthcare Center in Graham and Solaris Hospice for loving her and caring for her.
