Ilene Christopher, age 77, passed away on Wednesday, July 13, 2022 in Lubbock. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 18, 2022 at the Littlefield Memorial Park in Littlefield. The family will host a visitation on Sunday, from 2:00 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Moore-Rose Funeral Home in Idalou. Services are held under the direction of the Moore-Rose Funeral Homes.
Ilene Spencer Christopher was born April 23, 1945 to Alvin and Cora Spencer in Littlefield, Texas. Ilene often enjoyed baking a sweet treat for her friends and family, drinking a Dr. Pepper and browsing QVC for her next candle or plant.
She was met in heaven by the love of her life, Chick Christopher; her mother and father, Alvin and Cora Spencer; her brother, Travis Spencer; and her sisters, Avilene Kirk and Corene Spencer. She was a loving mom to Kristi and Todd Downey, Kori and Aaron Hendricks, Karrie and Guy Hayes and her adopted daughter, Carla Ehlo. She was most proud of her grandchildren, Austin and Kaylee Hendricks, Brandon Downey, and Kamber and Dylan Hayes, and was often heard talking about their accomplishments. As well as a caring sister to her brother, Barton Spencer; and her Hallmark movie and pizza night best friend, Annette Moore.
