Edward H. “Jeff” Brantley, 86, passed away May 21, 2021 in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where he had lived since 1964. He was born in Amherst, Texas on Sept. 11, 1934.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 9, 2021 at the Fairlawn Cemetery in Amherst, Texas. Pastor Rob Norris of Springlake First Baptist Church will be leading the service. A reception will follow at the Community Center in Amherst at City Hall. All are invited.
Jeff graduated from Littlefield High School and loved talking about this area and the people from here. He enjoyed decades of coaching and mentoring young people. Jeff was a successful business man in banking and insurance and he loved and was active in his church.
He is survived by his wife of 64 years, Joyce; his children, Mickey Brantley and wife, Kimberly, Sharla Haley and husband, Steve, and Steve Brantley and wife, Rosina; grandchildren, Michael, Steven, Justin, Daniella, Mandy, and Lacy and their spouses; 11 great-grand-children; and many other family and friends.
