Carolyn Beavers Jackson, 84, of Littlefield passed away Saturday July 2, 2022 in Littlefield. She was born March 29, 1938 in Plainview, Texas to Artie Thomas Beavers and Louise (Williams) Beavers.

Carolyn graduated from Lazbuddie High School in 1956. She then attended Nursing School at South Plains College, graduating with a degree in Nursing on May 19, 1972. She was an exceptional nurse, serving patients in Lamb County for many years, starting at Littlefield Hospital and Clinic and later at Littlefield Hospitality where she was the charge nurse. She loved antiques, so much so that her and her husband James owned and operated Poor Folks Antique Store in Lubbock and Appletree Antiques in Littlefield. Carolyn was an excellent cook and she made the best fried chicken and chicken fried steak you could ever eat, and she was a talented seamstress. She loved her family, especially being a Mema to her grandchildren, but her great grandchildren had an extra special place in her heart. She was a woman of faith, and a member of First Baptist Church in Littlefield.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharla Hamblin and husband, Bill of Littlefield; son, Kent Seales of Wolfforth; two grandchildren, Andrea Shea Cantu and husband, Abel of Littlefield and Bradley David Hamblin of Big Springs; and five great grandchildren, Joey Weaver and David Wyatt Hamblin both of Stanton and Cade Ian Cantu, Abel Chandler Cantu and Christian David Cantu all of Littlefield

Waiting for her in Heaven was her husband, James W. Jackson who passed January 6, 2006; two brothers, James Beavers and Joe Don Beavers; her parents; and a daughter-in-law, Claudette Seales.

Private family graveside services will be at 11 a.m., Wednesday, July 6, 2022 at Littlefield Memorial Park cemetery with Pastor Tanner Wilson officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be made to Autism Speaks (1060 State Road 2nd Floor, Princeton, NJ 08540).
