In Loving Memory Of Alice Mary Warren Faver May

Alice Mary Warren Faver May was born on September 19, 1941, in Wichita Fall, Texas, to Floyd and Sylvia Warren. She grew up in the Needmore/Circle Back area as the sixth of nine children. Alice graduated from Sudan High School in 1960.

On September 9, 1960, she married Dean Faver in Needmore, Texas. Together, they farmed in the Anton and Spade areas before settling in Fieldton, Texas where they raised two children, Kerry and Deanna. Alice was a devoted member of Crescent Park Church of Christ.

A passionate homemaker, Alice loved cooking, canning, and sewing. She was actively involved in her children's lives, from volunteering at Bible school to being a proud band parent. Alice had a deep love for gardening and took great pride in maintaining her beautiful garden and yard. She also ensured that Dean and his crew were well-fed with home-cooked meals during harvest season.

After the passing of her husband, Dean, Alice remained in Fieldton, where she lovingly cared for her sister, Leta, until her sister's passing.

In 2008, after reconnecting with her high school sweetheart, Harold May, at a class reunion, Alice married Harold. The couple spent time living in both Prescott Valley, and Fieldton, Texas.

Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Sylvia Warren; her first husband, Dean Faver; her granddaughter, Julie Ann Faver Maxwell; her in-laws, TC and Elaine Faver; her siblings, Floy (Bill) Fonville, JR (Oleta) Warren, Fay Neal, Leon (Carol) Warren, Barbara Warren, Leta Albright; and brothers-in-law, Francis Evins, Burley (Mary) Faver, and Shirley (Keith) Streety.

She is survived by her loving husband, Harold May; son, Kerry Faver and wife, Renee of Fieldton; daughter, Deanna Fails and husband, Chris of Meadow; granddaughter, Meagan Fails of Lamesa; Harolds children, Michael and wife, Heather May of Bloomington, Indiana, Susan and Erik Digby of Missoula, Montana, and Tom May of Missoula, Montana; granddaughters, Michaela and Hannah May of Bloomington, Indiana; sisters, Maye Evins of Amherst and Shirley (Jan) Fisher of Sudan; brother-in-law, Dwight (Carole) Faver of Spade; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

Alice's memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew her, and she will be greatly missed. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas.
