In Loving Memory Of Lillian 'Lil' Pollard

A memorial service to celebrate the life of Lillian (Lil) Pollard of Littlefield, formerly of Enochs, will be held on February 9, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church in Muleshoe with Dr. Stacy Conner officiating. Arrangements are under the care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield. She passed from this life on January 18, 2024 in Lubbock. She was 86 years old.

Lillian was born on August 13, 1937 in Fox, Oklahoma to Goldman and Roxie Stroud, the oldest of eight children. She married Harold Pollard December 24, 1953 in Roswell, New Mexico. He preceded her in death on June 7, 2009.

She was a talented seamstress and avid gardener. She was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildrens biggest fan, attending as many sporting events and school activities as possible. She was the manager of Littlefield Fast Stop for many years. She was a member of Littlefield Senior Citizens and Crescent Park Church of Christ.

She is survived by two daughters, Charlene Lewis of Blanco, Gwen Sinclair and husband, Joel of Lubbock; one son, Steve Pollard and wife, Sara of Amarillo; three brothers, Arvin Stroud of Brownwood, Glynn Stroud of Muleshoe, and Gene Stroud of Midwest City, Oklahoma; two sisters, Sandra Dickey of Woodrow and Carolyn Kirby of Muleshoe; twelve grandchildren and twentyone great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents Mr. and Mrs. Stroud; and two sisters, Doris Pirkle and Bonnie Belleveau.

Lil remained positive and joyful throughout her life, in spite of challenges, and willingly served her family and friends in time of need. She was happy when those around her were happy. She was a good and faithful servant, and her presence will be missed by everyone who knew her.

Memorials may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or a charity of choice.
