In Loving Memory Of Juana 'Janie' Aguilar

Juana "Janie" Aguilar, 74, of Littlefield, Texas, passed away peacefully in her home on Sunday, May 4, 2025. She was born on November 7, 1950, to Jose and Isidra Arias in Littlefield, Texas. She married Manuel Aguilar in 1978.
She worked for American Cotton Growers for close to 30 years before retiring. She liked watching movies, gardening and knitting. She was a talented cook and enjoyed providing delicious food for family gatherings. She had a sweet tooth and a love for candy and shopping. She loved her grandchildren immensely and cherished the time that she got to spend with them. She was a lifelong member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield, Texas.
Those left to cherish her memories are her husband, Manuel Aguilar of Littlefield, Texas; two daughters, Amy Durnan (David Miller) of Dallas, Texas, and Laura Zamora (Michael) of Levelland, Texas; three sons, Daniel Aguilar (Yolanda) of Lubbock, Texas, Edward Sanchez (Melanie) of Levelland, Texas, and E.J. Aguilar of Littlefield, Texas; a brother, Leonard Marquez of Littlefield, Texas; four sisters, Rosalinda Hendrick of Alvarado, Texas, Nancy Sanchez of Littlefield, Texas, Lupe Zambrano of Littlefield, Texas, and Connie Castillo of Littlefield, Texas; twenty grandchildren and twenty-eight great grandchildren; and Koda, Janie's best friend and grandpuppy.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and her stepdad who raised her, Leonardo Marquez; two daughters, Elizabeth Sanchez and Janie Sanchez; and a sister, Irene Bosquez.
Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, May 8, 2025, at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Littlefield, Texas. Interment will follow in Littlefield Memorial Park. Rosary will be recited from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, at the funeral home.
