Born Oct. 13, 1942, to Henry and Bertha (Newsom) Conner, Gay Nell married Hollis Samuel Moree on June 16, 1961, in Springlake. A lifelong resident, she worked as a teacher’s aide and bus driver for Springlake-Earth ISD and was a member of Springlake First Baptist Church. She enjoyed baking zucchini cakes and peanut butter rice crispies, tending to her four o’clock flowers, and caring for her cats.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a daughter; a great-grandson; two brothers; and two sisters.
Survivors include two daughters; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Gay Nell Moree, 82, of Springlake, died Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, in Lubbock. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 24, 2025 at the First Baptist Church in Springlake with Mr. Kent Parish officiating. Interment will follow at Springlake Cemetery under the direction of Ramage Funeral Directors.
