Faye Leora Geanes Jones went on to Celebrate in Heaven on June 4, 2021. She was born Jan. 16, 1940 in Chalybeate, Mississippi to the late George and Gertrude Geanes.
In 1954, Faye married William Earl Jones in Walnut, MS and eventually moved to the Amherst, TX area. Over the years, she worked various jobs that allowed her the flexibility to keep up with her kids and grandkids. She attended Irving Street First Baptist Church in Littlefield. She touched the lives of many and was caring, kind, unselfish, loving, hard-working and humble. She had the biggest heart and was always willing to help anyone in need.
Faye is survived by her husband, William Jones; four sons, Kenneth Jones of San Angelo, TX, Calvin Jones of Amarillo, TX, Benny Jones of Clovis, NM and Curtis Jones of Lubbock, TX; six daughters, Joyce Neals, Dianne Jones and Michelle Jones of Lubbock, TX, Debra Jones of Littlefield, TX, Christina Clark and Natalie Jones of Arlington, TX; two sisters, Arnell Spells of Walnut, MS and Ella B. Rainer of Memphis,TN; an honorary brother, Raymond (Sweet Papa) Rosemond of Littlefield; 32 grandkids; and a host of great-grandkids, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends and family-like friends.
Faye was preceeded in death by a son and daughter; grandsons, Byron Logan and Bryson Jones, father and mother, George and Gertrude Geanes; sisters, Georgia Finger and Edith Adams; brother Bobby Geanes; and honorary son, Freddy Buckingham.
Visitations were 10 a.m. until 12 p.m. and 6 p.m. until 8 p.m., Friday, June 11, 2021 at McCarty Funeral Home in Littlefield, TX. Her Homegoing Service was Saturday, June 12, 2021 at 1 p.m. at First United Methodist Church in Amherst, TX.
