ESTER REYES CARDENAS

Ester Reyes Cardenas, 86, of Anton passed away Friday, Jan. 21, 2022 in Anton. She was born Jan. 20, 1936 in Rogers, TX to Elias Reyes and Eusebia Garica Reyes.

She moved to Anton from Lubbock in 1978. She married Guadalupe Cardenas on April 3, 1999 in Anton. She was a loving and caring woman who served as a “companion” to the elderly and the shut-ins thru Community Action. She enjoyed gardening and cooking. She was a member of St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Anton where she also served as a Guadalupana.

Funeral Mass will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan.27, 2022 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Anton. Interment will follow in Anton Cemetery. Rosary will be recited at 6 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 26, 2022 at Grace Chapel at Hillcrest Funeral Home. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
