CONSARCIA (Ninfa) GARCIA

Consarcia (Ninfa) Barron Garcia, 95, of Anton, Texas passed away on January 26, 2024. Consarcia Ninfa was born June 22, 1928 in Runge, Texas in Karnes County to Agapito and Otilia Barron.

She married Pedro Garcia in 195. Shortly after they married, they began the migratory life taking them to numerous states to pick cotton. When expecting their third child they settled in West Texas (Anton) for the rest of their lives working for Mr. Butler and Mr. Spradley.

She was a humble and nurturing lady. Her interests included cooking for her family, especially making tamales and pumpkin empanadas in the fall. She enjoyed gardening, canning, and freezing the vegetables she grew. She enjoyed quilting and sewing.

Funeral Mass was held Monday morning, January 29, 2024 at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Anton, Texas. Rosary was held Sunday evening at the funeral home. Interment followed in the Anton Cemetery. Funeral arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas.
