Betty was born November 15, 1936 in Marble Falls, Texas. She lived a life of 88 years and passed away May 27, 2025 in Granbury, Texas.

She married Walter Birkelbach in 1953. They had 57 strong, dedicated years of marriage before Walter passed away in 2010. She worked at Anthony's in Littlefield, Texas. and was a member of First United Methodist Church.

Betty lived a life rooted in love, hard work, and simple joys. As a devoted cotton farmer's wife, a loving mother, and a proud Grannie, she poured her heart into caring for her family and her home. He hands were always busy – whether helping on the farm and raising kids, working at Anthony's or whipping up something delicious in the kitchen – but she always made time for those she loved. Betty had a sharp eye for a good deal at garage sales and a true love for fishing, especially when she could share those moments with her grandkids. Her laughter, strength, and warm hugs made her the heart of her family. She leaves behind a legacy of love, generosity, and countless cherished memories.

She was preceded in death by her parents, R.L. (Rob) Denniston and Ella Denniston; a brother, Dwight Denniston; a son in law, Larry Jeffcoat; and her beloved husband: Walter Birkelbach.

Betty is survived by: her children, Larry (Dianne) Birkelbach of Granbury, Texas, Linda (Dennis) Moore of Richton, Mississippi, Debbie Jeffcoat of Ranger, Texas and Jeff (Nancy) Birkelbach of Lubbock, Texas; grandchildren, Bryan, Melissa, Crystal, Adam, Susan, Candace and Nichole; and many great grandchildren.

Funeral Service were held Wednesday morning, June 4, 2025 at First United Methodist Church, Littlefield. Burial Service followed at Littlefield Memorial Cemetery Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, Texas.
