Lfd. City Council sets date for public hearing on Budget

The governing body of the City of Littlefield, Texas, held a special meeting at 6 p.m. on August 8th, at the City Council Chambers, located at 525 Phelps Avenue, for the purpose of considering all matters and related incidents to the City of Littlefield.

The meeting was called to order by Mayor Eric Turpen at 6 p.m. Mayor Pro tempore Kenny Rucker led the invocation, followed by Mayor Turpen leading the Pledge of Allegiance.

No one requested to comment during the public comment portion of the meeting.

Item five on the agenda was to set a date for Public Hearing for 2023-2024 Fiscal Year Budget.

Mayor Eric Turpen made the motion to set public hearing for 2023-2024 Fiscal Year Budget for August 22, 2023 and it was seconded by Council Member Michael Rangel. The motion carried.

The next item on the agenda was to discuss the proposed 20232024 Fiscal Year Budget.

City Manager Mitch Grant and the Council Members discussed the presented budget.

Mayor Turpen adjourned the meeting at 6:36 p.m.
