Texas Cotton Ginners Association Executive Vice President Kelley Green, with South Texas Cotton and Grain Executive Vice President Jeff Nunley, TCGA Communications Manager Aaron Nelson and PCG CEO Kody Bessent spent time in Austin this week to emphasize the necessity of the Agricultural Disaster Re-lief Grant Budget Rider.
This one- time block grant would assist qualifying cotton gins with a maximum payment of $500,000 for fixed costs. The team spoke with state budget negotiators appointed by the House and Senate on the importance of providing disaster relief for cotton infrastructure.
