Edith Bryant of Amherst, Texas was born October 7, 1925 and passed away on April 14, 2023. A Celebration of Life service will be held on April 21, 2023 at 2 p.m. at the Amherst First Baptist Church in Amherst.
Edith was a hairdresser for 61 years. She owned and operated the Holiday Beauty Salon in Littlefield until 1996.
She is survived by her daughter, Judy Hunter of Gainesville, TX; two grandsons and their wives, Bryant and Asuka Hunter of Aubrey, TX and Brandon and Brittany Hunter of Collinsville, TX; three great granddaughters, Paige Russell and husband, A.J. Russell of Oak Point, TX, Emily Hunter of Ardmore, OK, and Harper Bryan of Collinsville, TX; three great great grandchildren, Ellis Russell and Radick Russell of Oak Point, TX and Alica Ortiz of Ardmore, OK. She is also survived her sister, Nell Cook of Amherst; sister-in-law, Pat Enloe of Lubbock; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Those who preceded Edith in death were her mother, Ruby Enloe and father, Abraham Enloe; her husband, Laverne Bryant; sisters Genny Park, and Jo Schultz; brothers, Raymond Enloe and A.B. Enloe; son-in-law, Bill Hunter; brothers-in-law, Dick Park, Robert Schultz, Duane Bryant, and Harley Bryant; and sisters-in-law, Juanell Bryant and Kathryn Bryant.
