Waiver of Jury Trial
On Jan. 31, 2023, Jorge Luis Colon, entered a Guilty plea to the offense for which he was convicted: Assault Causes Bodily Injury to a Family Member, that occurred on Dec. 25, 2022.
The court received the plea, judged the defendant was guilty, the defendant was sentenced to 30 days confinement in the County Jail. The defendant was given 38 days of total jail time credit towards incarceration, fines and costs.
He is ordered to pay fines in the amount of $100, Court Costs in the amount of $270 and Reimbursement Fees in the amount of $350.
On Jan. 11, 2023, Rodney Allan Snead, entered a Guilty plea to the offense for which he was convicted: Driving While Intoxicated, that occurred on Feb. 9, 2020.
The court received the plea, judged the defendant was guilty, the defendant was sentenced to 60 days confinement in the County Jail. The defendant was given 212 days of total jail time credit towards incarceration, fines and costs.
He is ordered to pay Court Costs in the amount of $270 and Restitution in the amount of $60.
Motion to Dismiss
On Wednesday, January 11, 2023, a request from the Lamb County District Attorney’s office, that the court dismiss the criminal action against Alexander Cruz Sierra, for the reason: “Plea Bargain – plea in DCR-6275-22, DCR-623822, DCR-6237-22 with punishment assessed.”
The judge’s order of dismissal states: “The foregoing motion having been presented to me on the 11th day of January, A.D. 2022, and the same having been considered, it is, therefore Ordered, Adjudged and Decreed that the above styled and numbered case be and the same is hereby Dismissed.
