These two are finally available for adoption, but are looking for just the right person. To understand, you will need to know their backstory and what comes with them. They are part of a Criminal Cruelty/Abandonment Case. Their previous owner abandoned them and several other dogs when they moved. This means, sadly, that as long as the case is in the court systems, they are considered evidence.
Their future owners will need to understand that they will have to supply update photos and be able to bring them to us, if needed, and have a full-time Vet for them. They will need to be fixed within 90 days of their adoption and proof given to Animal Control.
Now that you know Mercury’s situation, let me tell you about this big goof ball! You will notice, right away, he is a German Shepherd with one blue eye and one brown eye. This just adds to his loveable character. Even after all he has been through this boy still loves people.
He can be a little shy at times but once he gets to know you the personality is REAL! We are unsure if he is house broke, but he does well around other dogs. He gets so excited that he will need someone who can remind this big boy he needs manners. However, Mercury is a very smart boy!
Now that you know Cecilia’s situation, let me tell you about this gorgeous girl! She is a German Shepherd with a teasing little purple spot on the tip of her tongue. For all that she has been through she is still so happy to see us every time we go by her kennel. Cecilia is a free spirit though so her new owners will have to keep a careful eye on her, or she will be off on her next adventure by herself. Cecilia wants to be in your lap and covering you with kisses any chance she gets! We are unsure if she is house broken, but she does well with other dogs.
