The County Commissioners Court met in a regular meeting at 10 a.m. Monday, Dec. 12, 2022 at the Lamb County Courthouse.
Judge James M. DeLoach called the meeting to order at 10:03 a.m. He gave the invocation and led the United States and Texas pledges.
No one spoke for public comment.
Item number three on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on the consent agenda items, which are as follows: Consider and take appropriate action on the minutes from the previous meeting, which took place on Monday, Nov. 28, 2022; Consider and take appropriate action on budget and salary amendments and/or line item transfers, which there were none; Consider and take appropriate action on bills presented by the County Auditor, Gina Jones; Consider and take appropriate action on payroll, which was presented by Jerry Yarbrough; and Consider and take appropriate action on departmental reports, which were presented to the court in their packets.
A motion was made by Commissioner Danny Short and seconded by Commissioner Lee Logan to approve the consent agenda items. The motion carried.
Item number four on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on Cybersecurity Training Course.
A motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner Danny Short to approve Cybersecurity Training Course. The motion carried.
The next item on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on Permit to cross a County right of way in Precinct 4 – corrected to Precinct 2. County Road 212.
A motion was made by Commissioner Kent Lewis to approve a permit to cross a county right of way in Precinct 4 – corrected to Precinct 2, County Road 212. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Lee Logan. The motion carried.
Item number six on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on the acceptance of Surplus Road material from TxDot in accordance with House Bill, Rider 19 for fiscal year 2023.
A motion was made by Commissioner Danny Short to approve the acceptance of material from TxDot. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Cory DeBerry. The motion carried.
The next item on the agenda was to discuss Lamb Healthcare Center operations.
Cindy Pope gave a report on Lamb Healthcare Center operations, construction and moving. TCCC and 340B program contract with Attorney Fletcher Brown is ongoing and the application for Critical Access is ongoing.
Item number eight on the agenda was to discuss all future agenda items.
The last County Commissioners Court is set for Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2022 at 10 a.m. The Lamb County Clerk’s office is closed on Tuesday Dec. 13, 2022 until 1 p.m. for training. Monday, Dec. 19, 2022 is the District Attorney Snack Day. The Open House for the Courthouse is Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2022 from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m.
Judge DeLoach closed the regular meeting at 10: 28 a.m. and opened an Executive Session.
Judge DeLoach closed the Executive Session at 11:02 a.m. and reopened the regular session.
With there being no further business to come before the Commissioners Court, a motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner Danny Short to adjourn the meeting.
