The South Plains Irrigation held its annual Customer Appreciation Luncheon Friday, Oct. 21, 2022 at noon from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Ag Pavilion in Olton.
SPI has not been able to hold the annual luncheon the last two years because of COVID. This year they had a smaller turnout of 200 people.
The luncheon was a way for SPI to show their customers how much they appreciate their support and business. They served steaks, baked potatoes, green beans, salad and rolls for lunch with cheesecake for dessert.
This year, they sold raffle tickets for a chance to win one of three TVs or a table saw, donated by Elliott Electric. SPI raised about $3,000 with the proceeds going to benefit the Running Water Draw Center, Olton Cemetery and Olton EMS.
Treva Smith, of South Plains Irrigation, wanted to give a big thank you to all of the customers for their business, support and loyalty.
