The County Commissioners Court met in regular session on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022 at 10 a.m. at the Lamb County Courthouse.
Judge James DeLoach led the invocation, the United States and Texas Pledges and called the meeting to order at 10 a.m.
No one spoke for public comment.
The Consent Agenda Items were as follows: Consider and take appropriate action on the minutes from the Monday, Sept. 26, 2022 meeting; Consider and take appropriate action on budget and salary amendments and/or line item transfers, which there were none; Consider and take appropriation on bills presented by the County Auditor, Gina Jones; Consider and take appropriate action on payroll, presented by Jerry Yarbrough; and Consider and take appropriate action on departmental reports, which there were none.
A motion was made by Commissioner Danny Short to approve the consent agenda items, which was seconded by Commissioner Lee Logan. The motion carried.
Item number four on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on the Burn Ban. No action was taken.
The next item on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on the 2023 Holiday Schedule.
A motion was made by Commissioner Danny Short to approve the 2023 Holiday Schedule. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Lee Logan. The motion carried.
Item number six on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on Declare Surplus and salvage items and advertise silent auctions.
A motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan to approve the Declare Surplus and salvage items and advertise the silent auction. Commissioner Kent Lewis seconded the motion. The motion carried.
The next item on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action on Interlocal Agreements for County Fire Calls.
A motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan to approve the Interlocal Agreements for County Fire Calls. The motion was seconded by Commissioner Danny Short. The motion carried.
Item number eight on the agenda was to consider and take appropriate action Interlocal Agreements for County EMS Services.
A motion was made by Commissioner Cory DeBerry and was seconded by Commissioner Lee Logan to approve the Interlocal Agreements for County EMS Services. The motion carried.
The next item on the agenda was to discuss Lamb Healthcare Center operations. No report was given due to no attendance from Lamb Healthcare Center.
Item number 10 on the agenda was to discuss future agenda items. Kathy Lostroh was introduced and will being working in the Extension Office either at the end of December 2022 or beginning of January 2023. Danny Short was considering an extended warranty on two John Deere pieces of equipment. Flu Shots will be provided on Friday, Oct. 14 in the Commissioner’s Court Room. Cynthia Bussey reported from Tuesday, Sept. 27, four Annex were approved by SPAG. Rene Trevino started back to work in the Treasurer’s office on Friday, Oct. 7. Brandon Albus gave a report for September 4H activities. Thanksgiving Lunch on Friday, Nov. 18, 2022 at MAC.
With there being no further agenda items to come before this Commissioners Court, motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and was seconded by Commissioner Danny Short to adjourn. The meeting adjourned at 10:41 a.m.
