The staff at Littlefield Memorial Park asks cemetery lot owners to pick up any items that are not allowed by Wednesday, Sept. 14, 2022. Due to recent services at the cemetery some items have been moved to a storage building temporarily. Please contact Littlefield Memorial Park Office at 806-6329289 to arrange for the return of the stored items as soon as possible.
RULES & REGULATIONS
1. Please refer to the general price list for prices for cemetery spaces, marking fees, setting fees, merchandise and other cemetery services.
2. Only flat bronze markers or flat granite markers or flat marble markers are allowed in the gardens at Littlefield Memorial Park. Flat bronze markers may be installed on granite bases.
3. The setting fee for markers is $0.75 per square inch of the marker or the granite base whichever is greater. Installation will only be completed after setting fee is paid.
4. Only the cemetery manager or co manager can mark a grave for interment or marker setting. Any marker placed without cemetery invovlement is subject to be removed.
5. Flowers will be discarded when the live ones wilt or the plastic or silk ones fade or become tattered. All flowers must be placed in an approved vase, container, or in ground pipe.
6. No glass will be tolerated at grave sites. There are no benches, statues, figurines, or other similar items allowed on the cemetery lots. All loose items will be discarded immediately.
7. Do not drive on the grass. All vehicles must stay on designateri roads. The cemetery is available for visitation from Sunrise to Sunset. No guests are permitted after dark.
8. All interments of caskets must have some type of outside burial container utilized. A polyurethane, steel, or concrete liner or boy will satisfy this requirement.
9. All cremains that are buried in LMP must be protected with some type of urn vault. The same marking fee applies for inurnments or interments.
10. Monuments are property of their respective owners. Care, maintenance, and the general well being is the responsibility of the monument owner and their family members. The Cemetery fees for Raising, removing/re-installment are also the responsibility of the owners of the marker. ALL work Within Littlefield Memorial Park Cemetery Inc is done by Cemetery Owners or staff. Any unauthorized work will result in removal by owners of Littlefield Memorial Park Cemetery and all fees must be paid before marker will be reinsialied.

Owner acknowledges that incidental damage may occur to memorials placed in the Cemetery, either by Cemetery personnel incidentally in the maintenance, upkeep, or operation of the Cemetery, or as a result of vandalism or other damage coed by visitors, including vendors, to the Cemetery Cemetery personnel shall exercise reasonable care to prevent damage to memorials, but nothing herein shall be deemed an acceptance of responsibility or liability on the part of the Cemetery for damage done to memorials, either by Cemetery personnel or otherwise.
No object or article other than an approved memorial or other reasonable decoration will be permitted to remain on any grave walkway or street. These type objects include, but are not limited to, lawn or garden statues; metal, wooden, or plastic crosses, figurines, shepherd’s crooks, or other articles The Supervisor has the authority, and reserves the right to enter upon any space and to remove any objectionable item that may have been placed there against regulations.
The Cemetery shall not be responsible for any objects, momentos, or other memorabilia placed on, near, or affixed to a memorial or grave space. Any such item so placed or affixed, and not of a permanent nature, is subject to removal by Cemetery Personnel in the interest of uniform and safe maintenance of the Cemetery. The Supervisor or Cemetery Personnel say remove anything placed on a grave space in violation of the regulations.
The sale purchase, use, or encumbrance of any grave space in Memorial Park Cemetery shall be subject to the rules and regulations enumerated herein, and that otherwise may be made or revised, from time to time, by the Memorial Park Cemetery. The rules and regulations herein contained have been found essential for the protection of the rights of all owners of property in the Memorial Park Cemetery, and no rules have been adopted except as experience has shown is necessary for the preservation of the rights of the owners and visitors
Definitions
The following terms, as used herein, shall be assigned the following meanings: “Cemetery” shall mean the cemetery owned and operated by the Memorial Park Cemetery, Inc. “Interment shall mean entombment or burial of the remains of a deceased person.
“Memorial” shall mean any marker, monument, headstone, or name plate for the purposes of identification or in memory. of the deceased interred therein.
“Space” shall mean the area of ground normally designed for a single interment.
“Owner” shall mean the owner of Cemetery “Remains shall mean either human remains or cremated human remains. “Space” shall mean the area of ground normally designed for a single interment.
“Supervisor” shall mean the owner/President for the purpose of supervising and administering Cemetery functions. Arrangements for Interments. Written directions of a decedent, or the directions of any person who represents that he or she is entitled to control the disposition of the decedent’s remains, shall be required for any interment in the Cemetery.
Owner shall have the exclusive right to schedule the time and date when interments or disinterments may be conducted. If the casket or vault to be used in the interment will be of unusual size or shape, the person requesting the interment must give notice of said fact at the time the request for interment is made, as well as measurements of the casket or outside container to be used. Cemetery shall require the use, and as necessary, the purchase of additional cemetery space to accommodate unusually large caskets or vaults, unless otherwise approved by the Supervisor.
Neither the Owners nor Cemetery personnel shall be responsible for inaccurate information provided regarding grave location or container size to be used. Owners reserve the right to make an equitable charge whenever additional labor or other costs result from such mistake. Neither the Owner nor the Cemetery personnel shall be liable for any delay in the interment of remains when a protest to the interment has been made, or when compliance with the rules and regulations has not been made.
Persons wishing to arrange funeral services and interment on a Monday may make their request to do so over the preceding weekend, provided, however, that all scheduling and arrangements for Mondays are subject to available time slots and Cemetery resources, and in no case shall a Monday service be scheduled prior to 1 P.M., if the request for such is made on the preceding Saturday or Sunday.

Perpetual Care and Markers
Question: Does perpetual care cover markers? Answer: No, in Texas the perpetual care fee only covers the cemetery grounds and mausoleums. Markers are not covered. Cemeteries frequently have a separate care fund for markers but it is not required by statute or regulated by this Department.
