The Littlefield Planning and Zoning Commission held a special meeting on Monday, July, 18, 2022 at 5:15 p.m.
Members present were President Ray Vargas, Lori Zinn and alternate Willie Bryant. Other members present were City Manager Mitch Grant and City Secretary Janine Butler. Those absent were Vice President Lance Broadhurst, Johnny Rosemond and Shawn Pickrell.
President Ray Vargas called the meeting to order at 5:16 p.m., gave the invocation and led the Pledge of Allegiance.
No one was present for public comment.
Lori Zinn made a motion to approve the minutes of the previous meeting, which took place on Monday, June 27, 2022. Willie Bryant seconded the motion. The motion carried.
The regular session closed at 5:19 p.m. and a public hearing was opened, to consider the request for a zone change from C-1, commercial-light retail to C-2, commercial, general district.
City Manager Mitch Grant explained the request changes and the possible benefits. There was no one present for public comments or questions. The public hearing was closed and regular session was reopened at 5:20 p.m.
Willie Bryant made a motion to approve the resolution recommending this zoning change to City Counsel. The motion was seconded by Lori Zinn. The motion carried.
President Ray Vargas adjourned the meeting at 5:21 p.m.
