The Annual Amherst Celebration will take place on Saturday, July 30, 2022 in the City of Amherst’s City Park from 9 a.m. to 11 p.m.
The celebration parade will begin lining up at 9 a.m. on the street south of the Amherst City Hall near the gin.
The parade will start moving northward down Main Street at 10 a.m. and will end near the Amherst City Park, followed by food, entertainment and fun.
From 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. there will be activities, food and beverage booths, game booths and many more. During that time, there will also be door prizes, a kids tractor pull, a volleyball tournament and a cornhole tournament. An auction sale will be con
An auction sale will be conducted from 2 p.m. to 3 p.m. to raise funding for the Chamber of Commerce. Followed by music and dancing at 8 p.m. in the pavilion. The day ends at 11 p.m. with a grand prize announcement.
Specified times for events and tournaments will be posted closer to the celebration. The grand prize will also be announced closer to the celebration.
If you would like to have a booth, please contact Amherst City Hall at 806-246-3421, or a Chamber Board member. Booths without electricity are $40 and booths with electricity are $50. A price difference of $10 additional per booth will be incurred if the booth is added on the day of the celebration.
