This prestigious award was established by the Grand Lodge of Texas so that lodges can formally recognize outstanding non-Masons who have distinguished themselves through their service to the community, local and state governments, places of worship, or to humanity at large.
Community Builders are often found in service clubs, public school systems, religious activities, and all kinds of volunteer work. They are everywhere you look but often go unseen.
Lodges are encouraged to seek out men and women who, year-in-and-year-out, quietly and without fanfare, show their devotion to their community and its people without the expectation of awards and honors.
The Littlefield Masonic Lodge #1161 is honored to present the 2022 Community Builder Award to Lance Broadhurst.
Lance is the Senior Vice President at First United Bank in Littlefield, President of the Littlefield ISD School Board and is Active at First Baptist Church. His wife, Shonda, is a Teacher at Littlefield ISD. Lance is a graduate of Littlefield High School, and has lived in Littlefield all his adult life.
