Our Big Bracket Challenge is winding down, as the NCAA Men’s Basketball Tournament completed the third and fourth rounds.
The third round got underway on Thursday, with fourth seeded Arkansas knocking off number one seed Gonzaga, 74-68 and number five Houston upsetting number one seed Arizona, 72-60. Second seeded Duke prevailed over number three seed Texas Tech, 78-73, while Villanova rolled past Michigan, 63- 55.
On Friday, the third round continued with Kansas taking down Providence, 66-61, while Saint Peter’s kept their Cinderella run alive with a, 67-64, over number three seed Purdue. North Carolina rolled past UCLA, 73-66, while Miami blasted Iowa State, 70-56.
In the fourth round on Saturday, Villanova took down Houston, 50- 44, while Duke knocked off Arkansas, 78-69.
On Sunday, Kansas kept their run going with a, 76-50, win over Miami, while North Carolina ended Saint Peter’s magical run, 69-49.
The fifth round is set for Saturday, with the championship to be played on Monday, March 4 th .
The BBC standings are as follows:
Brian Conkin sits alone in first place with 73 points, while Oscar Sanchez moves into second place with 68 points. Robert Conkin is in third place with 66 points, while Lonnie Neinast is in fourth place with 64 points and Tammy McDaniel, Robin Cooper and Shaun Lewallen are tied for fifth with 62 points.
Dwight Lewallen and Janet Conkin are tied for eighth with 61 points, while Brett Neinast is in 10 th with 60 points. Richard Lewallen and John Hernandez are tied for 11 th with 59 points, while Zeb Petty and Tara Conkin are tied for 13 th with 58 points.
Ronnie Martin has 56 points, while, Danny Davis, Lauren Petty and Ben Eastepp are tied with 54 points and Sheryl Lewallen has 53 points. Brenden Carter and Michael Cristan are tied with 52 points, while Teresa Carter and Richard Carter are tied with 41 points, and Hannah Conkin has 37 points.
