Lamb County’s oil wells still producing oil, gas

The Railroad Commission of Texas ranked Lamb County 176 th in the state in oil production, based on figures from November, 2021.

Lamb County produced 15,499 barrels of oil and 10,435 Mcf of gas during November. It was ranked 176 th in gas production in Texas.

Through 11 months of last year, Lamb County produced 181,584 barrels of oil and 259,462 Mcf of gas.

The Railroad Commission reported that Hockley County was ranked 24 th in the state; it produced 848,193 barrels of oil, 437,866 Mcf of gas and 137 barrels of condensate during November. The county was ranked 100 th in gas production.

Cochran County continued to be ranked at number 43, Terry County at 41, Yoakum County at 16 and Lubbock County at number 68.

Cochran County produced 149,998 barrels of oil and 75,021 Mcf of gas. It was ranked 149 th in gas production in Texas.

Terry County produced 182,773 barresl of oil and 27,497 Mcf of gas. It was ranked 164th in the state in gas production.

Yoakum County produced 2,156,692 barrels of oil and 3,585,388 Mcf of gas to be ranked 16 th in the state in production. It was ranked 42 nd in the state in gas production.

Lubbock County produced 65,43 barrels of oil and 12,649 Mcf of gas. It was ranked at 175 in gas production.

The top 10 oil producing counties in Texas were: 1. Midland, 16,535,587 barrels; 2. Martin, 12,978,391 barrels; 3. Howard, 7,562,874 barrels; 4. Karne, 7,288,711 barrels; 5. Upton, 6,328,203 barrels; 6. Reeves, 5,617,387 barrels; 7. Loving, 4,660,286 barrels; 8. Andrews, 3,854,780 barrels; 9. Reagan, 3,616,978 barrels and 10. Ward, 3,112,836 barrels.
