The Texas A&M Land Trends Program has established itself as THE source of information about Texas land, Texas landowners, and the forces that are shaping our future.
Every five years, researchers survey Texas landowners to better understand private landowner needs, preferences, concerns, and challenges regarding the everyday management of their operations and natural resources. Responses help land and natural resource agencies and/or professionals to ensure programs and resources support the current needs of today’s landowners.
Individual participation and responses are confidential as well as aggregated so as to not associate responses with individuals or their property.
The landowner questionnaire is divided into six topic areas (Land Management, Landowner Concerns, Land Loss/Fragmentation, Water, Hunting, and Landowners), is mostly multiple choice, and should take approximately 30 minutes to complete. To finish more quickly, it is strongly recommended that the participant fill out the survey using a tablet/iPad, laptop, or desktop computer.
