LAMB COUNTY COURT
Two Waiver of Jury Trial cases were brought before the Lamb County Judge on Jan. 25 and 26, 2022; and Motions to Dismiss Cases from the District Attorney’s office were considered and dismissed by the judge on Jan. 26 and Feb. 7, 2022.
Waivers of Jury Trials Joe Dicarlo Leal entered a guilty plea to a charge of Driving While Intoxicated, that occurred on June 5, 2020.
He was sentenceed to serve was 90 days of confinement in the Lamb County Jail, in lieu of payment.
He is to pay $750 for fines, $270 for Court Costs, and $350 for reimbursement fees. Lorenzo Garcia Valderas en
Lorenzo Garcia Valderas entered a guilty plea to a charge of criminal Trespass, that occurred July 23, 2021.
He was sentenced to 25 days of confinement in the County Jail, beginning Jan. 26, 2022. He already has 22 days of Jail Time Credit towards Incarceration and Fines and Costs.
Motions to Dismiss cases
On Jan. 26, 2022, the Lamb County Judge honored a District Attorney’s Motion To Dismiss a case against Wesle Lance Gibson, because “It best serves the interests of justice; and at the request of complainant.”
The judge’s order of dismissal reads: “The following motion having been presented to me on 26th day of January, A.D. 2022, and the same having been considered, it is, therefore Ordered, Adjudged and decreed that the above style and numberd case be and the same is hereby Dismissed.
On Feb. 7, 2022, the judge honored a State Attorney’s Motion to Dismiss two cases against Ashanti Sades Muniz, because the defendant has entered into two pre-trial diversion / intervention agreements.
The Judge’s Order reads: The foregoing motions, having been presented to me on the 7th day of February, A.D., 2022, and the same having been considered, it is therefore Ordered, Adjudged and Decreed that the above styled and numbered cases be and the same are hereby dismissed.”
