Lamb County Commissioners Court met for a regular business session Friday, Feb. 25, 2022 in the Lamb County Courthouse in Littlefield.
All members of the court were present, including: James M. DeLoach, Lamb County Judge; Cory DeBerry, Precinct 1 Commissioner; Kent Lewis, Precinct 2 Commissioner; Danny Short, Precinct 3 Commissioner; Lee Logan, Precinct 4 Commissioner; Tonya Ritchie, Lamb County
Clerk and Ex-Officio Clerk of the Commissioners Court.
Order 1: Judge James M. DeLoach called the meeting to order.
Order 2: There was no one who wanted to make a public comment about any of the agenda items.
Order 3: Consent Agenda items
A motion was made by Commissioner Danny Short and seconded by Commissioner Cory DeBerry to approve the consent agenda items. The vote being called for and alll voting Aye, the motion carried and so ordered.
Approved were the minutes of the Feb. 14 regular meeting.
There were no budget and salary amendments and/or line-item transfers to be made.
Bills presented by Treasurer
Jerry Yarbrough for the County Auditor included: $106,767.25 for Lamb County; and $310,139.94 for the hospital.
Jerry Yarbrough also presented the payrolls for payment: including: $153,031.41 for Lamb County; and $170,254.47 for Lamb Healthcare Center.
Order 4: Commissioner Lee Logan made the motion, and Commissioner Danny Short seconded the motion to use TAC for Cybersecurity Training. The vote being called for, and all voting Aye, the motion carried and was so ordered.
Order 5: A motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner Kent Lewis to approve the action on setting March 28th, 2022 for a Public Hearing and
Publication of a notice of such hearing in a newspaper of general circulation on the creation of a reinvestment zone to be known as Lamb County Reinvetment Zone-Sunbuddie Solar for purposes of tax abatement to provide economic development within the county, and to take up for consideration an application for tax abatement, deemed to be in good form, from Sunbuddie Solar Energy LLC. The vote being called for, and all voting Aye, the motion carried and was so ordered.
Order 6: Future items for the agenda were discussed.
Order 7: A motion was made by Commissionr Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner Danny Short, to adjourn. The motion carried and was so ordered by Judge DeLoach.
