Olton’s Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture Banquet will be served Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 7 p.m. in the Olton ISD School Cafeteria.
“Red, White and Blue in 2022” is the theme for this year’s event. Wesley Quigley, office manager of the Olton C-CA, says: “We are fortunate to have a wonderful meal provided by Olton’s Rejino BBQ, which has been featured on Texas Monthly’s “The Top 50 Texas BBQ Joints: 2021 Edition” list.
“They will be serving a plate of brisket, sausage and sides of green chile cream corn, a green salad, a drink of tea or water, and cobbler for dessert,” Quigley explained.
Entertainment will be provided by students of Olton ISD. “We want to showcase the wonderful talent we have in our school and community.”
Kyle Blount and Karla Arriola, seniors at Olton High School, will serve as Masters of Ceremonies to keep the program moving.
Outstanding citizens of the community to be recognized and introduced are the “Woman of the Year”, “Man of the Year”, “Citizen Through the Years”, “Educator of the Year”, “Support Staff of the Year”, and “Farm Family of the Year.”
Local Olton Chamber of Commerce and Agriculture business members will be decorating tables to represent their businesses.
Reservations are $25 per person, and may be made through an online form through the website: www.oltonchamber.org/banquet by today, March 2, 2022.
