Mike Slate, 72, of Littlefield passed away Friday, Feb. 11, 2022 in Lubbock. He was born on Oct. 10, 1949 at Goodfellow Air Force Base, in San Angelo, TX.
Mike graduated from Amherst High School with the Class of 1968. He married Jalee Mote on May 11, 1972 in Amherst.
He worked at American Cotton Growers for many years. Mike enjoyed playing softball, golfing and fishing. He often could be found on his front porch, watching the cars go by. He was an easy-going and fun-loving man who was very friendly and caring.
Memorial services were held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Feb. 26, 2022 at Grace Chapel in Littlefield. Cremation arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield.
