Commissioners hold regular meeting Monday, Jan. 10

CLERK’S MINUTES

Lamb County Commissioners met for a regular business session on Monday, Jan. 10, 2022 in the Lamb County Courthouse, in Littlefield, with the following members present:

Lamb County Judge, James M. DeLoach presiding; Cory DeBerry, Precinct 1 Commissioner; Kent Lewis, Precinct 2 Commissioner; Danny Short, Precinct 3 Commissioner; Lee Logan, Precinct 4 Commissioner; and Cynthia Bussey for Tonya Ritchie, County Clerk and Ex-Officio Clerk of the Commissioners’ Court; when the business was transacted.

ORDER NO. 1: Judge James M. DeLoach called the meeting to order at 10 a.m.

ORDER NO. 2: No one made a Public Comment (3 minutes max) on any of the agenda items.

ORDER NO. 3: Consent agenda items: (a) Commissioners considered

(a) Commissioners considered approal of the minutes from the Dec. 28, 2021 regular meeting.

(b) There were no budget and salary amendments and/or lineitem transfers to be made.

(c) They considered action on bills presented by the County Auditor: Gina Jones.

(d) They considered payrolls presented by Jerry Yarbrough.

(e) They considered departmental reports that were in the packet presented to the Commissioners.

Motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner Danny Short to approve the consent agenda items. The vote being called for and all voting Aye, the motion carried and so ordered.

ORDER NO 4: The commissioners considered and took action on the Notice of Primary Election and Polling Places for March 1, 2022: Some of the Commissioners’

Some of the Commissioners’ Precinct lines have been changed, so these polling places many be changed. Polling places approved were:

Precincts 1 and 5, Olton Ag Pavilion, 110 2 nd Street, Olton;

Precinct 3, Earth Community Center, 1 st and Birch Streets in Earth;

Precincts 4 and 11, Sudan Community Center, 109 East First Avenue in Sudan;

Precincts 2, 6, 8 and 9, Lamb County Ag and Community Center in Littlefield; 1095 E. 17 th Street (Hall Avenue).

Precinct 10, Amherst City Hall, 1011 Main Street in Amherst.

March 1, 2022. The vote being called for and all voting Aye, the motion carried and so ordered.

ORDER NO 5:

A motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner

Danny Short to take no action on the Lamb County Accident Prevention Policy.

The vote being called for and all voting Aye, the motion carried and so ordered.

ORDER NO 6:

A motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner

Danny Short to take no action on the Safety Committee and Charter-Resolution.

The vote being called for and all voting Aye, the motion carried and so ordered.

ORDER NO 7:

Discuss Lamb Healthcare Center operations: Cindy Pope gave a report on Lamb Healthcare Center’s operations.

ORDER NO 8:

There were no Future agenda items considered.

ORDER NO 9:

Adjournment: There being no further business to come before the Commissioners Court, a motion was made by Commissioner Lee Logan and seconded by Commissioner Danny Short to adjourn. The vote being called for and all voting Aye, the motion carried and so ordered.
