The Littlefield Police Department released information about the theft of a black push mower.
On Saturday, July 3, 2021 at approximately 10:48 a.m., an officer was dispatched to a residence on Harral Avenue in Littlefield, regarding a theft that had already occurred.
The officer visited with the owners, a woman and her son, who reported the mower was sitting under the carport between the house and a pickup. After they were gone from home that night, when they returned home, they saw that the mower was gone.
The officer asked if they had any paperwork with the brand, serial, make, or model numbers, and they reported they didn’t. The son described the push mower had big back wheels and smaller front wheels.
The officer told the owners he would make a report, and he would need the serial, make and model numbers if they could find them. The son advised the officer they were going to look for the paperwork.
The officer advised him that if they did find it, to contact the Police Department, and he would come back.
The officer reported that a short time later, dispatch advised him the owners had called back and had found some information on the mower.
When the officer went back, they had found the receipt for the mower, which showed the mower was a Murry push mower 2-n-1, with the price listed on it.
The officer told them the receipt did not have the serial number on it, and the owners told him they just needed a report for insurance.
The officer assured he would write the report, and if they needed a copy, to go by the Police Department and speak with records on Wednesday, to get a copy.
The officer completed his report and signed off: “Nothing further at this time. This is for information only at this time. End of Report.”
