Paula Sue (Brothers) Jones, age 67 of Crowell, TX, passed away on Sunday, June 6, 2021. She will lie in state from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Friday, June 11, 2021 at Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home. A Graveside Service was held at 10 a.m., Saturday, June 12, 2021 at Iatan Cemetery in Westbrook.
Paula was born in Littlefield, TX on May 19, 1954 to parents William Alonzo Brothers, Jr. and Geneva Mae (Hutson) Brothers. She married Donny Jones on Nov. 6, 1980 in Lovington, New Mexico at Donny’s dad’s house. Paula was a member of the Sand Springs Baptist Church. She was an avid researcher in her family’s ancestry for 30 years. She managed Jackson Hewitt in Big Spring for two years and was a Civil War Reenactor for 20 years. She loved traveling and seeing new sights. Above all, she was a loving mother, grandmother and loved her family more than anything.
She is survived by her husband, Donny Jones; daughter, Amanda Franklin and husband, John; sons, Robert Jones, Jake Jones and wife, Alisha; grandchildren, Abby Sisk, Emilee Wilde, Hannah Jones, Chase Jones, Sawyer Jones, Ivy Jones, and Ila Jones; and sister, Roxanne Storch and husband, Gary; three nieces and several cousins.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Joe Don Jones; and a grandson, JoeDon (Little Trooper).
In lieu of flowers the family would like donations made to The American Cancer Society, The Neuropathy Association, and The Alzheimer’s Association.
Pallbearers were John Franklin, Raymon Smith and Eddie St. John. Honorary pallbearers were Chase Jones and Sawyer Jones.
Arrangements were under the direction of Nalley-Pickle & Welch Funeral Home & Crematory.
