District 3-3A Baseball All-District Teams

The rat race that is the school year is officially over for me for a little bit. As sad as I am that baseball season had to come to a close, I’m glad to be able to spend some time at home with my wife and kids.

On Thursday, we were invited to watch our friends daughter play softball and it was the first time I’ve gotten to be just a spectator in the five years I’ve worked at the Lamb County Leader-News. It was a very relaxing break to be able to just kick back and visit with people in the stands.

It was also amazing to be able to get to watch my kids have such a blast with some of the other kids that were there and to get to watch our oldest watch the game at the fence gave me chills, because I grew up at the ball field. So, to give my kids that same opportunity is something I’m really looking forward to.

I’ve spent the last 10 months chasing everyone elses kids milestones and achievements on the court/field, and I’m really looking forward to spending the next two months with my boys and wife.

A lot has happened over the last several months, Happy turned two, Cheekies turned one and both of these little guys have changed so much over the last year. Happy is the sweetest soul you will ever meet and Cheekies has so much spunk and is the fastest crawler around.

Our vacation is planned to start a week from now and I can’t wait for the boys to see what we have planned for them.

On another note, Marisa and I made an adult decision and bought a brand new vehicle. We are super excited with our new purchase and we never thought we would be minivan people, but it has made such a huge change in how easy it is to load the kids into the car. The car has made such an impact that we don’t know if we’ll be going back from a minivan anytime soon.
