A 30-year-old Littlefield man, Bryson Grant McCarty, of Littlefeld, was killed in a two-vehicle crash at 7:02 p.m. Saturday, May 22, 2021, at the intersection of U.S. 84 and FM 1294, according to a report from the Texas Department of Public Safety.
The roadways were clear and dry, and the speed limit was 75 miles per hour.
According to the DPS report, a 2011 Chevrolet Traverse SUV, driven by Lacharotte Carlson, 77, of Anton, was traveling westbound on FM 1294 at the cross-over, intersecting with US 84.
A 2016 Ford F-150 pickup, driven by Bryson Grant McCarty, 30, of Littlefield was traveling southeast bound on US 84, approaching the same intersection.
Driver of the SUV failed to yield right-of-way, at the intersection, and pulled out onto US 84, colliding with the Ford pickup. Bryson Grant McCarty, of Littlefield, was pronounced deceased at the scene, as a result of injuries sustained in the crash.
Lacharotte Carlson, of Anton was transported to University Medical Center in Lubbock with unknown injuries.
