ketball team won their second The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basmeeting of the season with the Seagraves Lady Eagles on the road on Friday, 60-49.
With the win, the Nettes improve to 12-11 overall, 5-0 in district play.
Seagraves jumped out to an early advantage, 14-12, but the Nettes poured in 20 points in the second frame to take a, 32-23, lead into the locker room at halftime. The Lady Eagles came clawing back in the third quarter and outscored the Nettes, 19-13, to cut the lead to, 45-42, heading into the final quarter of play.
But, in the fourth quarter, the Nettes poured in 15 points to take the contest, 60-49.
Junior, Addison Boehning, led the Nettes posting a doubledouble with 24 points and 16 rebounds, to go along with two assists and one steal. Sophomore, Stevi Lockhart, joined her in double-figures scoring with 22 points, while also posting seven rebounds one steal and one block.
Junior, Liz Sital, tallied five points, five rebounds, five assists and two steals, while sophomore, Braelyn Pointer, chipped in five points, one rebound and two steals, and sophomore, Riley Edens, contributed, four points and two rebounds.
Senior, Zoey Cantu, chipped in two rebounds, two assists, two steals and one block, while junior, Sydney Cornelius, added four rebounds and sophomore, Landree Gonzales finished with two blocks.
The Nettes were at Plains on Tuesday. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season on Tuesday with a road game against Sundown.
Tip-off is scheduled for 6 p.m.
