The Littlefield Wildcats’ varsity basketball team took down the Springlake-Earth Wolverines last Friday, 54-34, at Wildcat GPI”.
With the win, the Wildcats improve to 5-3 overall, while the Wolverines fall to 1-3 overall on the season.
The Wildcats got off to a quick start in the first quarter, taking an, 8-2, lead heading into quarter number two.
Littlefield outscored the Wolverines, 16-8, in the second quarter to take a, 24-10, lead into the locker room at halftime.
In the second half, the Wildcats outscored the Wolverines, 12-9, in the third quarter and, 18-15, in the final quarter, as they took down the Wolverines, 54-34.
Senior, Tyree Jones, led the Wildcats in scoring with a gamehigh 25 points. Senior, Chris Brown, chipped in nine points, while junior, Jordan Trevino, netted seven points and junior, Jaron Cabello, chipped in six points.
Senior, Jeremiah Salazar, added five points, while senior, Caden Longoria, finished with two points in the contest.
Junior, Evan DeLeon and Kaden Castillo, led the Wolverines in scoring with 11 points, each, while junior, Keshan Holmes, joined them in doublefigures scoring with 10 points. Junior, Trace Goodman, also added two points in the contest.
