The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team fell to the Ropes Lady Eagles last Tuesday, 65-58.
With the loss, the Nettes fall to 3-8 overall on the season.
Ropes got out to a, 22-16, lead after the first quarter and they outscored Sudan, 15-6, in the second frame to take a, 37-22, lead into the locker room at halftime.
Sudan tallied eight points in the third quarter and poured in 28 points in the final frame, but they fell short in their comeback efforts, falling to the Lady Eagles, 65-58.
Junior, Addison Boehning, led the team in scoring with 27 points, to go along with 11 rebounds, one steal and one assist. junior, Liz Sital, tallied seven points, six rebounds and two steals, while Sophomore, Braelyn Pointer, netted seven points, to go along with two rebounds, two assists, and one steal.
Sophomore, Sydnie Cornelius, chipped in six points, three re bounds and one assist, while sophomore, Gracyn Shultz, contributed four points, two rebounds, two steals and one assist.
Riley Edens notched four points and one rebound, while senior, Zoey Cantu, finished with three points and two steals. Sophomore, Elaine Martinez, tallied two rebounds, one assist and one steal, while sophomore, Landree Gonzales, added one rebound and sophomore, Kambry Tolbert, finished with one steal in the contest.
