S-E Lady Wolverines blast Bobbies, 61-37

    The Springlake-Earth Lady Wolverines’ made it back-to-back wins over the weekend, as they took down the Dimmitt Bobbies on Saturday, 61-37.

    With the win, the Lady Wolverines improve to 5-3 overall, 1-0 in district play.

    Junior, Sayler Beerwinkle led the team in scoring with 19 points, to go along with five steals, three rebounds and one assist. She was joined in double-figures scoring by sophomore, Kani Holmes, who finished with 13 points, five steals, four rebounds and two assists; sophomore, Halee Toscano, who added 10 points, six rebounds, six steals, one assist and one block and senior, Carsann Baker, who finished with 10 points, six steals and three rebounds.

    Junior, Micaela Fuentes, tallied three points and three rebounds, while freshman, Taytum Goodman, led the team in assists with 10, to go along with six steals and two points. Freshman, Sydney Furr, notched two points, two rebounds and two steals, while junior, Mahalia Delgado, finished with three rebounds, three steals, two assists and one point.

    The Lady Wolverines were at Hart on Thursday. Results were not available at press time. They will be at Post on Dec. 28th and at O’Donnell on Dec. 30th.
