Nettes fall on the road to Lubbock Christian, 60-52

The Sudan Nettes’ varsity basketball team fell to Lubbock Christian High School last Tuesday, 60-52, on the road.

With the loss, the Nettes fall to 2-5 overall on the season.

Sudan led Lubbock Christian, 17-15, at the end of the first frame, but they were outscored, 13-8, in quarter number two, as Lubbock Christian took a, 28-25,1ead into the locker room athalllime.

The Nettes were outscored, 15-11, in the third quarter, and 17-16, in the final quarter, as they fell short against Lubbock Christian, 60-52.

Junior, Addison Boehning, led the Nettes with 18 points to go along with eight steals, six rebounds, two blocks and two assists, while sophomore, Gracyn Shultz, tallied 13 points, six rebounds, four steals, one block and one assist.

Sophomore, Sydnie Cornelius, contributed nine points, five rebounds and one steal, while sophomore, Landree Gonzales, finished with six points four rebounds, three assists and one block. Sophomore, Braelyn Pointer, chipped in six points, five rebounds, four steals and two assists, while sophomore, Elaine Martinez, finished with one rebound.

The Nettes traveled to Rip Griffin Center in Lubbock on Tuesday for a neutral site game against Borden County. Results were not available at press time. They will continue their season on Friday, as they go on the road to take on the Shallowater Fillies.

Tip-off is slated for 6 p.m.
