Benjamin M. Garcia, Jr., known as Chiquio, was born Jan. 20, 1941, in Coleman, TX, to Benjamin M. Garcia, Sr. and Florencia “Lencha” Martinez Garcia. In July 1961, he married Mary Esther Jaramillo, and made their home in Littlefield, TX.
Benjamin was a truck driver, carpenter, builder, pastor, horseman, and jack of all trades. He drove a semi-truck from coast to coast. He also mentored many young men. Benjamin served for several years as an evangelistic pastor. He enjoyed music and dancing, horses and cattle, and good conversation.
Funeral services were held Saturday morning, Aug. 29, 2026, at Grace Chapel within Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield with Pastor Brandon Salinas officiating. Arrangements were under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home.
