Jimmy Perez, Jr., 91, of Amherst, TX, passed away on Monday, April 20, 2026, in Amherst. He was born on Aug. 25, 1934, in Victoria County, TX to Santiago and Trinidad Perez.
Jimmy married Estela O’Balle on April 15, 1965. Together they raised five children. They moved to Amherst a little over twenty years ago. They were married for fifty-nine years.
Jimmy was known as the family historian. He enjoyed reading the Bible and the newspaper. He enjoyed working sudoku and crossword puzzles, being busy and traveling. He was a hard worker and enjoyed working with his hands. He worked at Birdsong Peanuts for around thirty years before he retired.
Those left to cherish his memory are his five children and spouses; twenty-two grand-children; thirty-two greatgrandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; three brothers; three sisters; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and extended family members.
Jimmy was preceded in death by his wife; three brothers; and three sisters.
A memorial service is to be held at a later date. Arrangements are under the personal care of Hillcrest Funeral Home in Littlefield, TX.
